Pratibha Patil : India's President. Nah!
Why do I think Pratibha will not make it to the President of India.
Her name does not sound like that of a President. Pratibha is not as bold as Shakar Dayal Sharma, Rajendra Prasad and men like them.
My feeling is that Bhairon Singh Sekhavat stands a better chance that Patil.

Well boldness is not a trait for Indian Presidents going by the track record. Zail Singh openly declared he will sweep the floor if Indira G asks him to and Fuck-ruddin declared emergency on her behalf
The whole exercise these days seems farce as there is no one of great stature and people are dumb fools looking for stars rather than concentrate on issues

The moment I head the news, I was very upset. It is a disgrace on democracy where people get elected not because of their merits but proximity to the person who has enough clout to mold situations (in this case president ship).
